Feigning Ignorance
A status update written by a friend of mine summed up perfectly the sentiments that many seemed to have about the topic: "People are fussing over Whatsapp's blue tick because it no longer gives users the capability of ignoring a person and pretending that the message was never received in the first place. Darn, now I have to reply people and say 'I'm ignoring you'."
While it's great to have easy access to others through IP based communications like WhatsApp, we cannot expect that others will always be free to respond to us right at the very instance that we make contact with them. That is both impractical and unreasonable. We all have schedules to keep and responsibilities at work, school or home that may cause us to ignore our smartphones for certain periods of time.
We should not feel obligated to have to respond to the messages of others immediately all of the time.
Personally, I feel these double blue ticks should not have an impact on any of my existing relationships. I don't think it should affect any of yours either. As long as you're doing far more for the people in your life than merely keeping in touch with them online, you should have nothing to worry about at all.

Blue Ticks on WhatsApp
Popular messaging app WhatsApp was updated yesterday with a new "feature" that may soon cause plenty of anguish, arguments, heartaches, and even manic depression in some.
Users will be familiar with how the app used to indicate that a message had been sent with one grey tick. Two grey ticks indicate that the message had been received by the other party.
However, the two grey ticks only indicated that the message was delivered to the other party's device, they did not indicate if the receipient actually read the message.
Now, with the new "feature", when a message has been read, the two grey ticks will turn blue.
So, yes, senders will know when the message was actually read.

Appreciate
Be sincere when showing appreciation.
Everyone needs some reaffirmation and praise from time to time.
A simple thank you can generate much satisfaction and happiness.
Showing genuine care and concern builds goodwill
that keeps everyone motivated even in tough times.

Someone was going from door to door to ask for donation at 8pm on a Sunday, claiming to be from SingTel.
Consequences
"To show the consequences of one’s words. It may be just a tweet to us and we’re venting our frustration on someone we don’t like or just doing it for kicks, but the hurt we dish might be on a whole different level on the receiver’s end. Karma bites back. Hard. I learnt this lesson today." ~ Yan Kay Kay
