Fake Milo

Food manufacturer Nestle Malaysia has started a campaign to educate its customers on how to spot a fake Milo product. This comes after authorities in Malaysia seized RM250,000 (S$94,058) worth of imitation products of the popular chocolate malt drink in Negeri Sembilan.

Milo Malaysia also published a photo on its Facebook page, explaining to customers how to distinguish between a genuine product and a counterfeit one based on the perforation of the packet.
The post described how Milo packaging is machine-packed and cut, and the edges on top of the package will not have perfect perforation, unlike a counterfeit one.
